A unique Georgian Garnet and Split Pearl brooch. Eight bright flat-cut garnets along with eight split pearls are mounted in rich 9ct yellow gold. Each flat-cut garnet is foil-backed to give it luminosity before been placed in a closed-back setting, which is indicative of the Georgian period. This brooch is in excellent condition for its age and can be worn as a pendant as well as a brooch. A rare and well-made piece of fine antique jewellery. Size: 28mm x 25mm, weight: 2.9g.
