An original pair of Georgian paste earrings. These foil-back paste stones have been set in a 9ct yellow gold closed-back setting and fitted with shepherd hooks. The foil backing is to enhance the stone`s sparkle and has aged beautifully with little patches of foxing visible, circa 1870. Size: 9mm in diameter, weight: 0.9g each.
